Are you looking for information about Thailand public holidays for 2010?

Well if you are planning to visit Thailand for a business trip or you are going on holiday to Thailand, then you should take note of when all the public holidays and official birthdays are celebrated. If your planned trip is for a short period of time, then you may find the following information invaluable.

Unlike many countries an official birthday or public holiday in Thailand does not just mean that the banks are closed. You will find that nearly all businesses and government offices are closed, and that the majority of Thai people utilise this time to take a short break and get away from the major cities. With this in mind you will find that the transportation systems and most of the hotels in Thailand are extremely busy.

You will find however that most small shops and the major tourist attractions are usually never closed. So tourists can continue to enjoy their holidays as normal, with one exception, this being that during most national holidays in Thailand you will find that alcohol is banned from being sold in bars, restaurants and public places.
