Thepprasit Night marketAlthough not as well-known as the Chatuchak weekend market in Bangkok, Thepprasit is an open air market that comes to life at night. If you are looking for affordable Pattaya shopping, you will find everything from clothes and bags to watches and shoes at this market. The market also has a separate section for IT products such as mobile phones and other electronic gadgets. At the pet section of the market, you will find cats, dogs, fish and birds. Add to this the large number of food stalls and the shows that take place at the market, and it is easy to understand its popularity.Avenue PattayaOne of the newer Pattaya shopping malls, Avenue is the best place to get IT products as there are frequent sales and promotions held here. Among the other stores, you will find leading lifestyle brands such as Adidas, Puma and several others. Besides this, major attractions at the mall are the Cineplex, a bowling alley and a karaoke club.Central Festival Pattaya BeachThis is the latest addition to the Pattaya shopping scene. Factory Outlet Mall and Outlet Village PattayaFollowing a format similar to outlet malls in the west, this shopping village has stores that are always on sale. The Pattaya shops in these malls offer discounts on brands such as Bossini, Esprit, Lascoste, Samsonite and Levis, among others. For golfers, the mall also has a large golf store where gear and accessories can be bought at extremely reasonable prices.Mike Shopping MallThis shopping mall is located along the beach front at Pattaya. The Mike group has two shopping complexes on the beach road. The newer one is larger and can be found south of the Pattaya Central Road intersection. This mall has a large department store as well as smaller stores and kiosks selling clothes, accessories and ice cream. The highest floor has a food court, above which is a roof top swimming pool. The older Mike shopping mall is located at the southern end of Pattaya Beach Road. It has floors of small shops that sell fashion and accessories. Of course at the low prices you can’t expect original goods.There are many other Pattaya shopping markets and malls that you will find all over town. Most of them will have the basics that you need. If you are missing the food back home, you will find it at Foodland supermarket located on Central Pattaya Road near the Sukhumvit intersection, which has a range of imported groceries. Besides this, you will find knock offs, souvenirs and trinkets on many streets including Walking Street, which gets converted into a row of small shops during the day, where vendors sell jewelry, clothes, shoes and bags. So if you are a shopaholic, Pattaya has enough options for retail therapy to keep you happy.
