Itinerary and cost around bangkok

Hi 4 of us aug7 for 5 days to bangkok- would like to see the wk end market, grand palace area, riverboat the canals, an elephant ride in forest or river, tiger temple and a beach. Also possibly a floating market. How can we manage our time? Can we hire a van to take us on a private tour, how much- we want to go fast and cheap,cheap. what would be the best route, clean and safe but cheap places to stay? Not looking for sleezy stuff. Should we spend the night other places or return to bangkok? can we leave luggage or shopping items somewhere in bangkok to pick back up for our flight?thanks
